Measuring Rules and Appeals

Amendments below as agreed by the Board relating to Measurements from Jan 1st 2025.

 

312N.1.8 Vaccinations must be recorded on the passport and be up to date. Any animal being presented to an SJI measuring venue must have up to date vaccination details recorded on their passports or be vaccinated at the venue. Otherwise, the animal will be refused for measuring.

 

318N.5 Any pony coming from another country who has not previously had a life cert in Ireland must notify the SJI office prior to measuring in Ireland what specific measurement height band it jumped in the country it came from. ie 128cms, 138cms,148cms. All ponies entering Ireland that have been measured out in any other jurisdiction must- present to the Veterinary Clinic for Appeals to be re-measured prior to registration with SJI. **(See Note Below)**

 

Where the pony measures in under the height in its relevant height category, the official height will be deemed to be the maximum height permitted for that category, i.e.128cms,138cms,148cms.

 

318N.5.1 The responsibility is on the owner/person responsible to inform SJI. If SJI subsequently discover they have not been informed correctly, the measurement and all subsequent results will be voided

 

( Note: Measured or Jumped at /in a higher catagory than the measurement at the official SJI measuring requires appeal measuring )
